buy kratom from Bikhuk. Our company signed up with the United Nation Environment Programme to replant as much as 10 hectares in the area of central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Bikhuk's CEO, Ms Putri Wulan, has pledged to plant the first 3000 trees before the beginning of this year's wet season. By replanting various native species, including the Mitragyna Speciosa and other rare trees, we will try, among others, to preserve the biodiversity that is so unique in this area. On the other side we will closely work together with the native population to ensure protection by offering livelihood alternatives. We hope that these initiatives will raise more awareness of the need for forest preservation, together with our customers, resellers and colleagues in the market. For each 5kg of kratom powder, leaf or other ethnobotanical herb bought, Bikhuk will plant one tree.(continued below...)
As a producer of kratom and other rare herbal products, we see the effects of deforestation daily. Even though we produce our own products in a sustainable way, the negative effects of the disappearing rainforest are obvious and visible all around. We strongly believe that the majority of our customers share our concerns. With this initiative we hope to reward their loyalty in a way that will contribute to a greener planet, even though we realize that we can only take small steps.
To ensure right implementation of this initiative, Bikhuk works together with the local agroforestry center. By involving both experienced partners and working with the support of local population at the same time, we expect to have contributed to a sustainable solution that will preserve various species of trees, function as a buffer to preserve surrounding primary forest and offer an alternative form of livelihood to the indigenous population. Meanwhile Bikhuk will continue to focus on its own mission; to produce quality forest products like our kratom powder but in a way that will contribute a bit more to a greener planet.
